Third Seeing is Believing Meeting
The Cultural Literacies’ Value in Europe Project’s encounter at MUDEC - Museo delle Culture in Milan reminded us of a profound truth: when artists, researchers, and activists come together, spaces transform into places of meaning.
On May 21, CLiViE partners explored the museum not only as a cultural institution but as a platform for stories of migration, youth expression, and public engagement.
From Travelogue to MUDEC Invasion and Adrian Paci’s breathtaking installation, we witnessed how art navigates complex themes of identity, belonging, and change.

These exhibitions sparked important reflection on the role of creative practitioners in shaping collective memory and social cohesion. Whether through participatory murals or emotional cartography, artists and educators act as mediators between communities and cultural literacy.
Grazie to our inspiring Italian hosts - Ilenya Camozzi, Zenia Simonella, Barbara Pizzetti, and Silvia Tarassi - as well as to Sara Rizzo (curator of the Travelogue exhibition) and Alice Cosmai (curator of Dal Muralismo alla Street Art: MUDEC Invasion) for guiding us through these powerful narratives.

Case Study Workshop
Case study workshop held as part of the CLiViE Project — an initiative that explores the social impact of arts-based education for young people aged 10–13 and 15–18.
Together with partners from Czechia, Germany, Italy, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland, we exchanged ideas, shared local case studies, and worked collaboratively toward developing an "impact map" — a key tool in understanding how artistic activities promote social cohesion.
Additionally, the workshop focused on data collection methods and best practices for completing the SROI (Social Return on Investment) framework — an essential step in measuring the value of cultural initiatives.
An inspiring and strategic day — and a meaningful milestone in our shared European effort to empower youth through art.

Third General Assembly
On March 20th, the CLiViE Project consortium convened for the Third General Assembly at Daugavpils University. The meeting provided a great opportunity to address organizational matters and near future activities for the project.
We are immensely grateful to the Daugavpils University team for their exceptional hospitality and flawless organization. From the engaging discussions to the cultural experiences, it was truly a memorable visit.
We also enjoyed a guided tour of Daugavpils, delving into the city's history and visiting its key landmarks. And to make the experience even more special, we learned the basics of traditional Latvian folk dances!

Seeing is believing: Places for art everywhere
On January 22, 2025, we stepped into the beautifully designed space of the National Gallery’s Trade Fair Palace in Prague. The CLiViE Consortium gathered for an inspiring meeting Seeing is Believing: Places for Art Everywhere.
ATLAS – “Creative Studio and Laboratory of Associative Dreaming” workshop – allowed us to experience what it’s like to navigate the unknown, sparking new perspectives on how we assign value to culture.
With expert guidance from Martin Raudenský and David Mirský, participants explored their feelings, created art, and reflected on their experiences, culminating in a unique map of emotions and concepts.
